I believe this philosophy is the foundation for providing compassionate and competent care to the individual and their entire family. It is the basis of how I practice medicine."


Experience Dr. Underhill completed his residency of family medicine at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he served as chief resident. He completed a faculty development fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Underhill has served as a medical officer in the United States Army Reserve. He is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix.  
Special Interests Obesity; bariatric medicine; pediatrics; youth and adult sports medicine and prevention.
Education Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University in Iowa; Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado. Dr. Underhill is board certified in family and obesity medicine. 
Personal Dr. Underhill actively volunteers his time as a coach and physician for local youth sports programs and at an inner city clinic for people without access to quality health care. He enjoys all types of athletic activities and spending time with his wife and two sons.
